Why I don't like COL

I don't like COL (Chabad Online news) . . .
In fact, I can barely stand it . . .
Col, to me at least, represents everything that's wrong with certain Israelis and Lubavitchers.
(This not to day that there is anything wrong with the above two as a whole, G-d forbid, nor is it show any personal grievances to those who do associate themselves with it . . . but rather I find problem in the outlook and ideologies expressed by them, and how they have been co-opted into the heritage bequeathed to us by our Rebbes)

COL is loud and flashy -it's obnoxious and pompous.
Compare it to the far more refined Shturem or Crownheights.info . . . even Shmais is sleeker.
Even worse, Col is in love with propaganda . . . the head Shliach worship that so many Israelis seem to be possessed with. (In other words, I don't wish to undermine the authority or good actions of any individuals, but rather the worship of titles and positions. A head shliach is such because of his actions or responsibilities -be they real or assumed (which is in truth the subject of another, far more political post)- not because the word 'head' has been attached to his title)





Col recently mentioned the fact that it has the highest reach of any Chabad sight, yet I hardly find this due to their superior quality . . .
It is rather due, at least in part, to the ignorance of most Israelis -many Lubavitchers from Israeli are far from fluent in English (and Yiddish, which is a far greater problem, but also subject of another post) -while virtually all English speaking Lubavitchers can read Hebrew . . .
