Ya Never Know

One never knows how powerful his actions can be . . . even a brief encounter can drasticly change one's life for the better . . .

From an e-mail that Y. (a good friend of mine)

"I was in Del Mar this past Shabbos (it was a Shabbos off) and was able to meet a couple of Chevra [guys] from the summer. You know, you can never tell how much you accomplished- but this time I saw for myself some of our peiros [the fruits of our labor]! Remember the time we were driving through the Meadows and we saw a house with a Mezuzah not mentioned on the contact list, we rang the bell and a Chinese boy opened the door, as we were about to leave a car pulled up and a guy steps out, we had a whole conversation with him. His name is Menashe Faigelbaum and he learnt in yeshiva as a youngster, he even remembers some of the gemora he learnt. It seems like he married a Chinese lady (with conversion?). He doesn't know about the chabad house just down the road, we tell him about it and he seems interested. We leave hoping that maybe he'll give it a try.
Anyways this guy takke started coming to the chabad house; I overheard him talking to Rabbi P. Friday night, he wants to know if there are any shluchim he can get in touch with during his future trip to China.
