I know that people are often scared by Chassidishe Osios,
But . . .
In addressing the issue of Shviras HaKeilim (The Kabbalistic concept that another world was created before ours, only to be destroyed . . .) an analogy is often brought to Katnus Hamoichen
-the ability (or rather the lack thereof) for a person to analyze and cope with complex situations.
A child has Katnus Hamoichen . . . The world exists only in monotone hues, if it isn't black -then it's white, if it isn't good then it's bad.
Give a child a candy and he'll love you for the rest of his life, take away a knife that he's playing with -and you'll never hear the end of it. His mental circuits overload.
An adult mind can grasp with the complexities of life, see that woven into every action are a vast spectrum of motives and sub-motives, causes behind causes, reasons within reasons . . .
Such a person can separate the deed from the doer, and identify the action with it's cause -the shot is not evil, nor is the doctor . . . It's the cure to his sickness!
Everybody has their pet peeves in life,
Some are upset by the little things -those small details in life that ought to so easily be taken care of, but are neglected . . .
Some are upset by the big things . . .
Yet the small mindedness of those around us, the childishness and inability to forgive -but rather sink into the mire of revenge . . .
I think it's time that we all looked into buying Mental Vessels version 2.0
