Schapiro's Wine had a famous jingle on the Yiddish radio which went something like this:

Schapiro's Wine, Schapiro's Wine
Der flesch is gantz un lang

Schapiro's Wine, Schapiro's Wine
S'iz vasser fin myne schlang

Schapiro's Wine, Schapiro's Wine
Du kenst shnadden mit a messer

Schapiro's Wine, Schapiro's Wine
Benzine iz nuch gor besser

Shapiro or his competitor?

Notice there's no apostrophe on the billboard.

I heard the "shnaydn mit a messer" part, but I never heard the other lines.

The wine referred to in the jingle above is produced by Mrs Hillary Rodham Schapiro, the almonoh and former agunoh of the late Otisviller Rov Reb Benzine Schapiro.

He was called this because of the chemical composition of his so called wine as well as his refusal to be called BenTzioin because he was "nisht a tzioini".

Much of this wine was used for the sole purpose of causing fires in the winery, a heavily insured structure in DUMBO. The rest was sold to skid row drunks and underage bochurim.

Mrs Schapiro sold the business to Mobil (now ExxonMobil) who now sell her late husband's concoction under the name "Mobil 1".
