I did something funny the other day . . . Something I haven't done since I started this blog in the the summer of 5765 . . . I wrote in my journal.
Yes, my dear and constant friends, I have a journal.
It's green cover is worn by time - the spiral binding is taped to and bent. Loose papers stick from its sides, and notes and phone numbers, once important but now meaningless, are scribbled on the back. In it are stories, and experiences - random ideas and a few hopes.
And, on the first page: a tittle - written in pencil, then retraced with a pen . . .
Letters of Thought.
With out internet, and overcome late at night by the sudden need to write, I took out my journal and scribbled my thoughts.
Doodles and all.
and let me tell you . . . man it felt good.
But just as in Vilna, my blogging was timed by the length of my stay @ the Internetas Kavine, I am now judged by another prosecuting demon - batery life.
Fear not, dear Reader, soon I shall return to the warm embrace of the InterWebs . . .

i haven't done that in a while. far too long, in fact.
blogging is great - but nothing replaces the feeling you get when scribbling unreadable cramped sentences in rapidly fading pencil between the thin lines on a page....
Or you do what I do and do both every day. And use a pen, then it doesn't fade.
subscribing...
It's been 4 years? Goodness...I still use mine. Doodling on a computer proves too difficult for me.
By the way, regarding your internet or lack thereof, perhaps the problem is your comp? The Geek Squad at Best Buy are really nice...
I've had a paper journal since I was in ... let's see ... the first grade? I have dozens of them, buried in my parents' garage amid love notes and photos. My most recent incarnation is a black, unlined journal that is filled with magazine clippings, quotes, and random poems. I can't write enough, and I think you know this sentiment, indeed.
Dang. Journal I once did.
Not.
So.
Much.
Any more.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes writing with a pen on paper!
