A Family Rosh Hashanah letter sent by my great-great grandmother.
The Ten Days of Repentance in under one hundred words (85 to be exact):
These the ten days from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur are days when G-d's presence is closer to us. The essence of our souls are revealed - a level where no sin ever took place - and thus allows us to atone for any wrong doings. We work in Repentance (Returning to our source), Prayer (Connecting to G-d), Tzedakah (Righteousness). On Rosh Hashanah we hear the shofar, awakening our souls, and Yom Kippur we fast -going beyond physical pleasure by taking pleasure in G-dliness.
