Taken during my trip to Çufut Qale last year in Crimea.
The name is Turkish for Jewish Fortress, and according to wikipedia: [The earliest] epitaph [dating to] 1203 can be seen at the cemetery of Chufut-Kale,
called "Vale of Jehoshaphat" . . .Chufut-Kale,
however, existed as early as the seventh century.
