The letters of our thoughts are the ideas present in our mind before they come to realization . . . Thoughts that are, yet not felt . . . The words of the subconscious . . . of the soul . . .

These are the LETTERS OF MY THOUGHTS.

Shechita -A Photo Essay on Ritual Slaughter

Yesterday the Rabbi's father came to shecht chickens so that we could salt and kasher them for Melicha.

Warning those who are upset by blood may not want to scroll down. (Though it isn't all that gory)

To each his own . . .
At least I didn't put the pics of the dissection, though I ought to have put the ones of how it looked after the BBQ. ;-)

I am already in a Messianic mindset and as we all know, in the Messianic age we will all revert to being vegatarians just like before the Mabbul.

I haven't heard that one before . . .

You never heard that Adam ha-rishon was a veg.?

It's not so simple. It's true that G-d gave Adam permission to eat only fruits and vegetables (Gen. 1:29), and that it was only after the Flood that man was permitted to eat meat (ibid. 9:3).

On the other hand, the Gemara (Sanhedrin 59b) refers to Adam being served "meat that fell from Heaven" by the angels, so the implication is that he wasn't allowed to kill animals for food (or to eat ones that had died naturally), but he was indeed allowed to eat meat under certain circumstances.

Anyway, though, what's the relevance of this to Moshiach's era? Where does it say that at that time we won't eat meat?

I remember seeing it somewhere. I will look it up when I have the chance.

I've never heard of such a thing in Yemos Hamoshiach before . . .
Just the opposite, we'll have a Beis hamikdash with daily sacrifices etc.
