Well, the JIBs are finally over, and I think we must thank the kind folks out there who helped to make it all possible!
Despite hacking, cheating, and nay sayers -they stuck through it . . . and we all gained!
As everyone seems to be saying, almost to the point of being cliché, the real winners are all those who participated.
When I mentioned the awards to my friends, they asked me how much money I was up to win . . . it shocked them to think that there was a no prize . . .
Then again, they don't blog.
Do I wish I had won? It would have been fun.
But frankly that's not why I blog, and I hope it isn't why anyone else does either.
The increased traffic, people who liked my work -to the point that some added me to their blog roll (thanks!), and the honor of making it to the finals . . . all that was more then enough.
Though I risk coming off as a sore looser, which I'm not, I was a little surprised that Point of Pinchas came out with a 32 vote lead in the second round . . .
Point of Pinchas | 20.10 % (82)
Letters of Thought | 12.25 % (50) |
When I beat him by 13 in the first . . .
Letters of Thought | 23.76 % (43)
Point of Pinchas | 16.57 % (30) |
C'est la vie
Thanks to all for making it a great time!

Good job!
I think this is actually the first time I've checked your blog, but after going through some of the archives, I'm glad I have, and I'll be back.
I'm glad you liked what you say . . . Your photos shall also bring me back to you . . .
Mottel,
I don't know what you are trying to imply but the reason I got so many more votes in the finals is because I waited till the finals to email my freinds. I knew I could easily advance to the finals without such an email as I've been in the JIBs since they started in 2004. You have a very wonderful blog here but if you'd see mine I've taken a few good photos myself. A little Dan Lchaf Zchus never hurt anyone...
Kol Tuv,
Pinchas
I never tried to imply anything . . . Ch"v that I would think anything but good of another, and I have seen your photos which are definitely deserving of the award.
All I said was that I was surprised that you pulled so far ahead in the last round.
If for whatever reason you wish me to change the words here . . . just let me know.
:) Ahh, no need to change anything. Just pointing out that qualifying rounds are a much different ballgame than final rounds. It's true in all competitions. Kol Tuv!
