The letters of our thoughts are the ideas present in our mind before they come to realization . . . Thoughts that are, yet not felt . . . The words of the subconscious . . . of the soul . . .

My Dinner

Dice:
  • Half a mango
  • An Avocado
  • Two Tomatoes

  • An Onion (Last night I didn't have one, so I used onion powder)
Garnish with:

  • Salt
  • Crushed Chili Pepper
  • Black Pepper
  • Oregano
  • Sugar
  • Lemon Juice

Fry corn tortillas, salt them lightly, and place them in a bowl.

Put Salad on top of tortillas

Make a  blessing.

Enjoy.

Did You Know:

  • The mango is reputed to be the most commonly eaten fresh fruit worldwide.
  • Chili peppers . . . are rich in vitamin C and are believed to have many beneficial effects on health. The pain caused by capsaicin stimulates the brain to produce endorphins, natural opioids which act as analgesics and produce a sense of well-being. Psychologist Paul Rozin suggests that eating chilis is an example of a "constrained risk" like riding a roller coaster, in which extreme sensations like pain and fear can be enjoyed because individuals know that these sensations are not actually harmful.
  • Eye irritation can be avoided by cutting onions under running water or submerged in a basin of water. Rinsing the onion and leaving it wet while chopping may also be effective. Chilling or freezing onions prevents the enzymes from activating, limiting the amount of gas generated. Using a sharp blade to chop onions will limit the cell damage and the release of enzymes that drive the irritation response.
  • Oregano derives from its name the Greek origanon [ὀρίγανον]: oros [ὄρος] "mountain" + the verb ganousthai [γανοῦσθαι] "delight in ".
  • Feeding avocados to any non-human animal should be avoided completely. There is documented evidence that animals such as cattle, horses, goats, rabbits, birds, dogs, cats, and even fish.
  • As an easy solution to both the problems of handling food in microgravity and preventing bread crumbs from escaping into delicate instruments, wheat flour tortillas have been used on many NASA Shuttle missions since 1985.
