The letters of our thoughts are the ideas present in our mind before they come to realization . . . Thoughts that are, yet not felt . . . The words of the subconscious . . . of the soul . . .

These are the LETTERS OF MY THOUGHTS.

2,996 -My Tribute

I signed up for 2,996 on an impulse . . .
The name of my 9/11 victim was Sharon Moore, a 37 year old African American lady, vice president at Sandler O'Neill & Partners, killed, nay murdered, on World Trade Center, Tower 2, 104th floor . . . September Eleventh 2001 . . .
At first I hesitated at using the word victim . . . after all, isn't a victim one who seems to be heaped with misery afflicted by something and unable to act . . .
Perhaps a martyr is better.
Then I saw on Webster's:

Victim:
Etymology: Latin victima; perhaps akin to Old High German wIh holy . . .

Martyr:

Etymology: Middle English, from Old English, from Late Latin, from Greek martyr-, martys witness

In Hebrew a Jew murdered for being a Jew is a Kadosh, someone who is holy . . .
Perhaps then someone killed for being an American, can as well be called a victim - someone holy.

In a world of Six and a Half Billion people what are the odds that I would ever meet Sharon Moore?
I live in Los Angeles -she in New York,
I am Jewish, Caucasian -she is not.
I must confess that I don't think I was ever in the World Trade center
. . . my trips to New York are limited to Brooklyn for the most part . . .

And yet we remain bound.
Inexplicably, perhaps . . .
yet bound.
The world is G-d's complex formula, a staggering number of variables go
into even the smallest detail. Millions, billions. Trillions. Ad
infinitum.
The Theory of Chaos.
All is connected.
Her, life then, is indeed tied to mine.
I wounder if those who know her will read my words . . . perhaps due to the publicity of this event they will . . .
perhaps not . . .
How can I do justice to one whom I have never met?
I can look only into G-d's word, his Torah.
That when we live on with the memory of the one who has passed on . . .
We bring that memory into action, do what the soul wants . . .
then Sharon Moore will live on in this world.
Through our deeds.
