I don't understand why I am still writing this blog. A better question, why am I still a Jew? I don’t find myself at home with my people. The internal dialogue with G-d is exhausted. The alienation is complete . . .

Take a vacation -if you want you can visit Trakai with us here now
Get away from all the shtick, speak to the people that you get along with . . .
Then begin to focus on the main things -marriage and the future.

Mottel, this is one more sign! Believe it or not to the right of me
there are four framed photos taken on my vacation with my parents in
Trakai when I was 10. The photo on top is in a rowing boat. I am rowing
and my father sits in front of the boat. Below is a photo of me and my
father standing on a tree trunk that fell over a lake. The tree looks
like it is about to collapse under our weight into the water…

Tzemach Atlas has with out a doubt been a controversial figure in the J-blogosphere . . . but has been an active one.

I often disagree with what he says, vehemently . . . No Lubavitcher can doubt the damage that he's done etc.

Yet when all is said and done, I bear no animosity to him.

As pointed out elsewhere in the comments, his frustration over other
issues brings to increased sensitivities to the flaws with in Chabad (not
that Chabad has flaws, but rather the flaws of those who make it up (as
we do all have our issues)). That coupled with the warped mines of
those who played off of TA's opinions, drawing him towards their own
issues . . .

It's an old parsha.



But when all is said and done, TA is a person looking for the truth . . .

His pain is human and real . . .

He needs to take a brake from mentalblog, and move on.

May he find the healing that he needs.
